Leerform’s designers and fabricators are here to assist you every step of the way. We work intimately with our clients to provide estimates, research and development, project management, prototyping, proof of concept, and comprehensive design work. We love interesting problems, brainstorming, and finding creative solutions to an array of challenges.
Galleries, Art Fairs, and Tradeshows
Leerform provides fabrication design for your exhibition or fair booth. With over ten years of exhibition design experience, we bring your vision to life on opening night. We work seamlessly with contractors, architects, and interior designers, and use architectural drawings to precisely map your layout.
Fabrication / Crating
Leerform is a focused studio that is adaptive to our client’s needs. Our goal is to coordinate with the client to choose the most effective solution for the project at hand. We specialize in high-end crating and packing using archival materials and techniques gathered over the last twenty years in the field. We can build inner boxes for shipping or storage using archival board, foamcore, gatorboard, or other hybrid materials. Packing techniques can include cavity packing in foam, brace packing, or guillotine-style packing.
We are also acutely aware that budget can be crucial in the planning of a project. We can scale building style to meet expectations according to the client’s needs and schedule.
Here is what we do:
* Wood, metal, and acrylic fabrication
* Plinths and pedestals
* Museum quality crates, travel frames, slat crates
* Steel and aluminum welding
* Brazing and soldering (copper, brass, and bronze)
* Plexiglas vitrines, displays, and bonnets
* Jewelry and artifact mounts
* Painting and faux finishes
* Full sculptural support (casting, mold-making)
* Onsite install support for museums, galleries, and residential collections
* Full construction support, wall buildout, and general contracting support
We are artists, sculptors, and jewelers with vast experience as museum and gallery professionals, fine art service providers, art handlers, and construction workers. We understand the nuances of getting ready for an art fair, museum installation, or navigating the transportation and logistical challenges of implementing a project in NYC.
